1. Persistent right umbilical vein.
   
2. The sonographic criteria are:
   i. Portal vein curved toward the stomach.
   ii. Foetal gallbladder located medially to the vein (between the umbilical vein and the stomach).
   iii. Umbilical vein is abnormally connected to the right portal vein instead of the left portal vein.

4. The presence or absence of other associated malformations. The prognosis is considerably more favourable if the condition is an isolated anomaly.
